The free area of the PhonicsPlay website is filled with free interactive games, phonics planning, assessment ideas and printable resources. There are many ideas to support teachers in delivering daily phonics sessions and lots of advice to support parents in helping their children learn to read.

The groundbreaking game that makes learning to read fun. It covers everything from letters and sounds to reading full sentences. It is designed in collaboration with leading academics. It complements all synthetic phonics programmes used in schools, and the Computer version is 100% free.

Reading Bear is the first free program online to teach beginning readers vocabulary and concepts while systematically introducing all the main phonetic patterns of written English, all using innovative rich media. We spent an enormous amount of time developing 50 presentations, covering even more phonics principles and illustrating over 1,200 vocabulary items. There is nothing else like it, free or otherwise.

ICT Games provide educational ICT activities linked to the English National Curriculum. These games are generally targeted at infant school teachers and parents of infant age children.Please note: ICT Games is being re-written to work across platforms, moving from Flash Player to HTML5.
