Feedback from previous Volunteers and Work Experience Students

“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this work experience and be able to develop my understanding of life as a teacher. These past few weeks have been an amazing experience and I am really grateful for the opportunity that your school has given me and it has been fantastic. Again, thank you so much for allowing me to come into your school, I really appreciate it and it was definitely a worthwhile experience!”

“I am currently studying A-levels and wanted to come to Anchorsholme as I wish to become a teacher. I was able to gain a greater understanding of the school work environment, and it has strengthened my passion for learning and teaching, ultimately increasing my confidence with my decision to study teaching at university. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to gain volunteer work experience at Anchorsholme Academy and would strongly recommend it.”

“I started off my journey in September 2021 as a T-Level Student. Due to the school being such a warm and welcoming environment and through gaining skills and experience, I managed to secure a temporary job as a teaching assistant in October 2021 which then became permanent in May 2022. Since gaining my role at Anchorsholme, I have received an overwhelming amount of support from the team around me and from around the school.”

“I have enjoyed volunteering in Foundation Stage. It has given me the experience that I needed to hopefully get a job as a teaching assistant in the not too distant future. The children and staff have been lovely to work with and I hope they feel the same about me too. ”
